Part three - July 27th visit to Put-N-Bay

The favorite mode of transportation is golf carts in all shapes and sizes. Tom and I rented one for two hours and took a ride from one end of the Island to another. We visited the South Bass Island Light house which is a neat old brick building that is empty and there is a tall steel structure to replace it. There were beautiful garden for butterflies. There were lots of little white ones but one large yellow butterfly came to feed and I got its picture

there is a flag lowering ceremony every night at sundown- the second
flag is a replica of Commodore Perry's battle flag
DONT GIVE UP THE SHIP

they are celebrating Christmas in July and a lot of the power
boats are all decked out in lights and inflatables like this.
