July 26th still moving down the Detroit River

It took us about two hours to motor down the Detroit River. It was interesting in a sad way to see the industrial sites they look worn out, very dark.  We got to the Livingston channel the final let to enter Lake Erie. We had to share with a large freighter Buffalo. Bless that captains heart to took it slow and easy - no wake and we both enjoyed the journey - he even came to the window and waved to us. I wish some power boats would learn to do the same.

They actually run the rail system - I always thought it was an
urban legend
On the Canadian side along the river was a sculpture park.
There were many interesting pieces, if you are over there it seems
like it would be a good place to stop

This was in front of the Detroit River International Wild life refuge
on Mud Flat Island.  It looks like a sculpture but not really???

Hardly a ripple from her bow :)
