I mentioned that we had an accidental jibe and broke a couple of parts on the boat. One is for our traveler and we really cannot leave until we have the part. Tom made phone calls on Friday last week and found a part at West Marine in Long Beach. West Marines central warehouse helped us track it down. Of course it was to late for shipping and the next window would be Monday. We did search the area and Saturday confirmed with Long Beach West Marine that we wanted the part and to ship next day - part is $15.00 + shipping.
Monday we called and "yes we have it ready for pick up"
Tuesday - no part - no part - no part - called them and "yep its all packed and sitting here on the counter"
Needless to say we were not happy -
I did call West Marine to complain and we are getting a $100. gift certificate to compensate for another day in the Marina.
So--- to keep Tom busy we got an air conditioner and he made a drop board to put it in the hatch way. I can climb out over it. It is a great install - kudos to Tom - and this morning cooking breakfast was wonderful - did not over heat the boat.
Side Note - refrigerator seems to be on a fritz now - not turning on -
