Feathers, gulls and sunset, Lake Michigan Friday 3/16

Went for a long walk on the beach. I was joined by fishermen, and lots of families walking children and dogs. We had a beautiful sunset. The lake was very calm and flat but to the south east huge thunder head clouds were building. On the way home they gave quite a display of lightening.

Shaw gardens - St. Louis,

Stopped for a short walk in Shaw Gardens in St. Louis. They were having an Orchid show and what follows is just a few examples of  hundreds of pictures that I took. The pictures can not give you the wonderful fragrance or the simple wonder of seeing so much beauty in one place. I will be home tomorrow, but I will post several groups of pics from the garden.
