At last Lake Erie - the run to Put-n-Bay, Ohio 7-26

We finally made Lake Erie and found the waves just a little bouncy to say the least. Not a lot of water on deck just rolling and pitching. The skies were threatening all around us the the weather report over the VHF was not encouraging but we kept our course and finally made it to Put-N-Bay.  We decided with the wind and waves to tie up to a mooring ball. There were still a lot available but the trick is there are no lines on the ball. After one attempt and leaving the hook behind, Tom lowered the dingy and motored out to attach a line. He got back on board Cool Hand and we snagged the line and were bouncing with the rest of the boats.

We met up with Terry and Suzanne and got the pep talk to stay and visit the sites on the island. I thought with all the bouncing it would be tough to go to sleep - the fresh air and rough ride - we had no trouble at all.
