Caldwell and into Dallas

We drove to Salina from to Caldwell to Dallas today. All along the way were hawks and falcons that were not cooperating and staying put to get their pictures taken. There were also flocks of migrating water fowl that finally found open water. Again just beyond the scope of my camera lens.

Sunday in Grand Forks

Grand Forks has their version of a smiley face water
tower. One side is winking at you.

went out to the AFB and took pictures of the static displays

There is a little stream - mostly frozen over that runs along side the
display

Posted by PicasaTom took pictures with the other camera and I'll post them later. Tomorrow we leave and head south- hopefully warmer weather.

Trip to Winnipeg

Left Grand Forks around noonish - this is flat -flat- flat country. The weather was overcast, but no snow.

First stop in Winnipeg was the zoo. There are these strange
signs with bizarre questions - if you click on the pic, you
can enlarge it enough to see the answer

This is a Sea Eagle, the larges of the Eagle family

The zoo has two new Siberian tiger cubs - They were right by
the fence so we could see them - to bad the pics are through the
fence.

The restaurant we ate in advertised this drink called the bull dog
Tom moved while taking the picture - but the drink came out.
Posted by PicasaWe ended the day with a light snow flurry as we left Winnipeg- it was a great journey and we are back in Grand Forks - tomorrow Fargo
