First chore was to find a new prop for out out board. There was a possibility at Jerry's marina on Tawas Point State Park so after a breakfast of cold pizza we pulled up anchor and motored over there. Anchored again and took dingy ashore. We were lucky they sold us the right size from an engine they had on display.
Next stop the East Tawas State dock. I brought us in with very little drama - Tom did the lines - they were busy so they had no one to help with the lines. TA DA sung as a bug to the dock.
Took a walk into town looking for water shoes - found a pair for both Tom and I at the Nordic Shop, the went to have ice cream at Marion's Dairy Bar- great place, lots of memorabilia from Coca Cola. Later we met up with Mike Patton and his family for dinner and had them over to the boat to show her off.
One of many pictures of my lens cap |
Just wanted everyone to see that no all the pictures are great Boat moves a lot so I have pieces of places |
Blurred places and blank spaces. I just keep clicking and eventually get good shots |
This is an abandoned docking facility in the bay. They used it to load gypsum on to freighters. Odd looking structure |
