Erie, Pa to Port Colborne Canada Monday August 6th

We woke earlier Monday morning 6am and by 6:28am we were going under the pedestrian bridge and enjoying a beautifull sunrise. One of the intresting things about traving in the lakes is you do not get a sence that there is more behind the one inch of green on the horizon. Here in Lake Erie in Pennslyvania you can see beyond the first tree line.  Also in Lake Erie you do not get out of sight of land. We could see simmery images of Canada on the horizon, especially the wind mills.  Comming into Port Colborne we saw the Empire Sandy leaving the port. We stayed in the Sugarloaf Marina which is the Municipal Marina for the Port  It was a 65.7 NM trip for us, long day. We had to have Customs come out because we are carrying a fire arm then we were good to go for the Canal.
