Erie Pa, August 1st.

We will be staying in Erie for the weekend. Port Colburn - entrance to the Welland Canal is hosting Canal week and Tall ships so there are no slips available until Monday. We have learned to take these things in stride. Tomorrow we are renting a car and will get some provisions and explore Erie.
One thing that always surprises us is how we meet people. Today when we went to the Maritime museum we struck up  a conversation with a family waiting with us to see the Niagara. It turns out they were watching us go under that Pedestrian walk way and when we docked. They thought we made it look effortless. What are the chances -

The Niagara leaves tomorrow to cross the lake and we may see it Monday coming back here as we cross over.
