Part two - USS YORKTOWN- below decks,

The Yorktown is has been remarkably converted into a museum for the public to tour. you can go to the flight deck, fire-room and engine room, see the mess, sick bay and all along the way are ship memorials and models with informative videos to watch. This ship was modified in the 1950's with an angled deck for jets then converted to an antisubmarine carrier. In 1968 she recovered the Apollo 8 astronauts and was decommission 2 years later - dedicated as a museum in 1975.
