On the Move south Cooley's Landing to Key Biscayne

We decided it was time to move on, with a small weather window to make a possible try for Bimini.
Woke pre dawn and had a devil of a time getting out of our slip but finally we were headed in the right direction and the 7th Ave bridge opened, and on down the way as the sun rose higher in the skies.Out look for the Atlantic was SE wind 8 to 10 Kt  waves 2 to 3 feet.
HA HA HA

We did get the sail up and started out we were on a close hull but the winds were gusting to 19 and 20 kts with wave 3 to 5 so the ride was heeled over and wet.  Around 10 AM the wind switch straight out of the south so back to motoring but still a bouncy ride with several wave crashing into the cock pit.

When we turned into Key Biscayne the water flattened out and we had that 8 to 10 kts of wind.
No Name Harbor was pretty full and IF  the weather is what we think it should be we want to leave pre dawn on Thursday so we dropped anchor out side with 4 other boats.
rosy skies should have warned us

The Cape Florida Light is a lighthouse on Cape Florida at the south end of Key Biscayne in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It was established in 1825 to guide the mariners off of the Florida Reef which starts near Key Biscayne and extends four miles (6.4 km) off the coast.[4] It was operated, with interruptions, until 1878, when it was replaced by the Fowey Rocks lighthouse. The lighthouse was put back into use in 1978 by the U.S. Coast Guard to mark the Florida Channel, the deepest natural channel into Biscayne Bay.
