Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock

Our first goal was Rockefeller Center and Top of the Rock - Which involved walking several blocks and one false stop. There are police officers everywhere and I got one to laugh because I thought the Fox building was the Rockefeller center. He quickly had I going in the right direction. The shops in this area are very trendy and expensive. We purchased our ticket to got to the top floors 69 to 70 and then went and had lunch. I got a t-shirt and my ticket stubs as keepsakes. It is quite a view, you can see the smog/ pollution all along the horizon. We left the Rock and decided to visit the Art museum thinking it was the Met, instead it was the M O M A .
Rockefeller Center is a complex of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres (89,000 m2) between 48th and 51st streets in New York City,United States. Built by the Rockefeller family, it is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan, spanning the area between Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.[2][3][4]
