leaving Beaver Island - THE BRIDGE

Water was crystal clear at Beaver Island.

This is the oldest Light house in Michigan- It is not working but the red roofed buildings are a Coast guard station.

Again with the no wind and no waves.

Finally we caught a breeze - 3 kts but we were sailing.

This is the first beacon to the channel to get to the bridge

There must have been hundreds of Cormorants.

We did not sail as close to this beacon - looks like it has its share of birds also.

Then we shared the channel with this freighter. I was surprised that its wake was not as bothersome as some of the power boats that passed us.

The Bridge

It almost looked like we would touch the top - not even close
