From Apalachicol to St Joseph Bay via GIWW

We have WI-FI- and now some catching up. On Tuesday June 4th we left Apalachicola Marina and started our first venture in the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway system. The first challenge was a bridge between us and Panama City with only a 50' clearance, remember we are at 60'... lucky for us there is the St. Joe Cut that would take us into St. Joseph bay.Unlucky for us we need to go out in the Gulf to continue west and a little tropical storm was brewing. We finally dropped anchor in Eagle harbor. There is a small concession like store, outside showers, beautiful beaches on both the Gulf and Bay side so all in all not a bad place to dangle at the end of a hook for a few days.  One draw back was our anchor dragged several times putting us in peril of sand bars and swimmers. We ended up moving at least 4 times until finally we set in sand and mud and did not budge through the storm.
