Cay hopping

We stayed one day at Spanish Cay Marina and were on our way to spend some time anchored and exploring the Cays and Beaches. First stop was Powell Cay a privately owned yet uninhabited cay. Shaped like and L we dropped anchor around 10 AM with Kokopelli in view. When we arrived, I tied on my lead line and put a Hot Pink shrimp bait on the hook, and sat, and waited, jiggled the line, waited, watched clouds looked into the water, contemplated the inactivity of fish, and gave up. Tom lowered the dingy and we took off for the shore. I collected several great specimens, a coral branch that washed up, sea urchin shell, shells and a sponge. Nothing with living things still inside. We saw several star fish, have to admit we did pick them up but put them gently back down in the water.
Back to the boat, and one more day ... then we left for Manjack Cay
