Manjack Cay and wind.....Anchors

Hello
I am gradually loosing track of the days. Friday we left Powell Cay moving another 10 miles to Manjack Cay, Rat Cay, Crab Cay. They are virtually joined by low tide and all can be seen from our anchorage. We arrived to find several catamarans and other sail boats already there. Dropping anchor we settled into the gentle sway waiting the arrival of Kokopelli.
Mid afternoon, dingy lowered, we motored over for a visit with Tom and Joy.  By the way I did try fishing between Islands, fish 2 Laura 0. We then went to shore, shell hunting and exploring at low tide. I found a few treasures, then pigs showed up. The little brown one ( little for a pig, called him Brownie) has a sad look when he realized we had nothing to feed it. The bigger big,  Bossy came out and looked like it wanted a dingy ride. They really didn't pay any attention to our shooing motions, but they didn't get any closer either.

Back to the boat, peaceful night, breakfast on deck... we are still in the same place we dropped anchor, a nap... knitting... lunch... came on deck and we are NOT where we dropped anchor. We are dragging in an 18 + knot wind out into the Abaco sea.  Tom comes up we go through the bally hoo of raising anchor, motoring back to shore and try again, and again, and again. Wind is stiffening so we move further down the cove and try again and again and again. Needless to say patience is fraying and tempers are flaring.
We decided to try another cove further to the south 1/4 mile away. We tried twice and couldn't catch. Tom decided to alter the configuration of the anchor, still not holding. I am at the helm and heading out to try again. The chart clearly showed 7' when the depth finder showed 4 then 3 and we were stuck... yes I grounded... Tom was very good about the whole thing. It was coming up to low tide, the big problem being the wind, now gusting over 25 pushing us further on the bank. We finally got off and headed for Green Turtle Cay in the hopes of finding a more conducive spot to our fussy anchor. We arrived after sunset, not chance of getting into Black Sound, so we tried again and again and again and finally around 8 PM we dragged to a halt, swung to the wind and held for about two hours. Tom was napping and I let him sleep as we drifted half way to Abacos Island. Tom did not agree with that decision. We motored back tried again and just as Tom went forward to raise the anchor we halted, turned to the wind and held.... all night and into the day.
Angels were holding on to the anchor... we were both frayed and tired.
