Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas Marina, Memories

Sunday August 17th, 2014
We keep heading north, and arrived in the ICW yesterday, anchoring out in New River Sound, north of Las Olas Marina for the night. We heard the soft rumble of thunder, for a while had a stiff cool breeze followed by a hard rain then soft drizzle. Our canvas leaks like a sieve so we were glad to be done traveling for the day.
Entering the Fort Lauderdale harbor brought back memories. We were here for December 2012 with dear friends Patty and Dale and their dog Oliver. I have to admit I liked December temperatures here more than hot August.
My Photos are not in order... have not faithfully down loaded them on a daily bases. I will have to gett better at this as we go along.
We are planning to stay a couple of days here, then go back outside. We discovered that we can go out into the Gulf Stream and pick up considerable speed traveling in the current. Weather appears to be on our side for awhile, with the exception of the the pop up thunderstorms, which seem to peter out over the Atlantic.

Sunday, Atlantic Ocean, my first shell . The water is not refreshing
but bath tub warm

South Beach store , they had a large display of off sewing
