Last of our viist to refurge, turtle rescue, fog and storms - Cocoa Florida

I was amazed even on this cloudy day the wide variety of birds. I only wish that I had a larger telephoto lens to capture more of them. This refuge is home to over 500 species of wild life. There are marshes to Uplands, where the pine flat wood provides the bald eagles with places to nest. On our way out of the refuge we had an opportunity to do our own rescue. A large turtle was crossing the road at a normal turtle pace. We stopped and even though the turtle hissed at Tom he picked it up and delivered it safely to the other side. We finished off the day with a stop at the Goodwill store to drop off clothes that are too large for me and I was able to find replacements inexpensively. I also started to stock up on provisions for our trip to the Bahamas after the first of the year.
We are hoping that the last of our mail will arrive tomorrow (Thursday 12-13) and the weather will filly break and we will be on our way south again. Planing a Fort Lauderdale Christmas.

We have been waking up to fog the last three mornings.

Storm clouds, rain and more rain.
