Feathers, gulls and sunset, Lake Michigan Friday 3/16
Went for a long walk on the beach. I was joined by fishermen, and lots of families walking children and dogs. We had a beautiful sunset. The lake was very calm and flat but to the south east huge thunder head clouds were building. On the way home they gave quite a display of lightening.

Merry Christmas eve from Grand Haven Lake Michigan
Went to the pier at Grand haven just before sunset. There were dozens of these ducks floating in the channel rolling along on the waves. It was Cold - 33degrees but it felt much colder with the wind. The sun, gulls and waves set off the beach, trees and pier with liquid fire and a beautiful ending to the day. How can anyone doubt the wonder of God.

sunrise to sunset- Sunday 12/18
This morning the air was still- so when I went for coffee I took some great reflection shots. You will notice there is still snow. By the end of the day, the wind was picking up and most of the snow had melted.

Sticking snow- Saturday 12/17
Woke this morning to find all my fall leaves covered with snow. Winter begins and now we look a little more like the Christmas season. I do need to get a warmer hat for my walks on the beach - didn't go as far as I wanted to because ears got cold.
I love this old stump - this soft dusting of snow just added to its character |
