After our eventful crossing we motored over to Cambridge Marina and stayed a few days. The town is small but their heart is big. We walked to the local Simmons Center Market and they were offered to drive us back to the Marina. As it was cold and spit raining the ride was greatly appreciated. Wednesday finally brought a small break in the wind and we left our snug harbor to cross the Chesapeake bay to the Potomac river and head for Woodbridge. The forecast said high 50's but the wind made us feel colder and both Tom and I put on our winter coats. We crossed over and entered the Potomac and decided to duck in and drop anchor hopping to get out of the wind. Another Sail boat that was behind us most of the day took the lead and luckily had local knowledge of a great place to drop anchor. Another long day - sited our first pelican - and took some interesting pictures of dark gray skies.
