Cold, gray trip from Myrtle Beach to Georgetown SC

We are off again in the cold 47 degrees, and gray skies, no promise of sunshine, only the possibility of rain. I sprayed waterproofing on our canvas, letting it dry in the high winds over night. We had several spots that reached saturation point the other night, it is miserable in the cold and wet but when what little shelter we have leaks it is very unpleasant . So far it seems to be working, I will spay again tonight, tomorrow looks like a cold and wet day.

We decided to set out today, with Thanksgiving looming on the horizon we want to be nestled into a marina by Tuesday of next week. Beaufort is looking like a good option. Originally we ( Dotty and Has Royer in Skye) were going to anchor out in Thoroughfare Creek. The tide and current were with us bringing our speed to 7 kts and with the cold getting to us we decided to push on to Georgetown and a slip at Harborwalk marina. With the extra mileage we are going to stay here out of the rain.
