part three, the end of the Nature Trail - a walk on Shell Beach

It was still gloomy with a lite mist falling now and again. Tom and  I kept at it, there is actually a lot to see even if not a lot of flowers are in bloom. We finished the trail then hiked another quarter mile to the beach. Tom stayed in a covered picnic area while I roamed the sands for treasure.

Tomorrow we plan to take the dingy to North Bimini and check out the sights and see about going snorkeling before we leave. We bought masks and fins, I would like to go with a group the first time out. For those of you who don't know me - I am not great on the swimming thing.
You can see the roots of the orchid holding on to this tree

I could here a little chirrup in the trees and just  caught this little fellow-
not enough to identify him  though

Bimini Ameiva – most common lizard on South Bimini

White Sage blooms are attractive to Butterflies, birds and other insects. The leaves have a pleasant aromatic order that makes them a favorite compliment to teas and other medicinal mixes

Coconut planting project, since the start of the project over 1000 trees have been planted.  One hundred have been established on the trail. This is a nursery and the trees will be transplanted around the island. Looks like they need some water.

Sheeps wool sponge - pretty sure

Sea Fan Coral with a bunch of stuff  stuck  to it
