Friday, no roosters crowing us awake, the wind less than
10kts and no waves we were optimistic that we would beat the storm and be safe
in a marina by early afternoon. We weighed anchor and made a bee line for
Eleuthera Cape marina, bad weather was on the horizon for Saturday and Sunday
and we decided hot showers, laundry, washing the salt off cool hand, Wi fi, an
oil change, and if possible a ride into town; was better than bouncing around
at the end of our anchor. There are only two marinas on this side of the
island, we decided on this one because our next jump with be to the Exumas on
Monday or Tuesday depending on weather.
We made good time enjoying a beautiful sunset on the beach. We found out when we got here that Dan DeVos
owns the resort, it is a small world.
