Peacocks, Macaws, Cockatoos, Feathers everywere

We had amazing encounters with lots of different birds. Peahens were wandering around then much to my surprise a white one came out of the trees. They were among the more quite birds. There is an area where several Parrots, Macaws and a Cockatoo are out on open platforms. They all seems to squawk for attention, though everyone has several signs warning people they will bite.
A green Macaw called out hello they he started to show off. The Cockatoo whistled with Tom and like to be scratched. A gray parrot worked his toy bell up the gave us a weird screech. It was a great way to while away some time waiting for the Flamingo show.

Add The peacock tail ("train") is not the tail quill feathers but the highly elongated upper tail covert feathers. The "eyes" are best seen when the peacock fans its tail. Like a cupped hand behind the ear, the erect tail-fan of the male helps direct sound to the ears.[caption
