A new day - and  we had sun at the very beginning. I went to the lake - my new hat is doing a great job at keeping my ears and head warm, though I am getting some strange looks. Today didn't have my boots on - big mistake. There were a lot of people out taking pictures, families with dogs and children in tow. The water was calm but you can see the ice starting to form up. Beach a little treacherous to walk on - ice under the sand.

These are pictures from around Muskegon and Grand Haven. The day started out with Sun and clouds- the prediction is for snow or rain. I hope it holds off until everyone is home safe.

Grand Haven - COLD

Decided to go and visit the lake - wrapped in my new knit scarf - remembered my gloves - and off I went. Wind about 30 kts plus and waves around 5 to 8 ft - sky was a strange mixture of patches of blue - orange gold sunset and gray swirling clouds. Only a few gulls and they were in the air. A few die hard fishermen on the pier but no other beach walkers.

I have no idea why the Coast Guard tried to go out

they turned around and came very close to the break water -
It looked like a very bumpy ride.

This is just a small sample of the pictures, I am drinking hot coffee - hoping for some sun shine tomorrow.
