Sailing, bouncy night, FOG, finally Alabama and LULU's

We made it.... we are in Alabama, heavy winter coats off, and bracing for some rain, NO ice or snow storms the next couple of days. We are in the GICW and will travel through to Pensacola before going  back out in the Gulf. There is a 50' bridge that will prevent us from going through to Panama City our next big stop.
We finally left Gulfport after the a lot of hurried running around and fixing. When we disconnected shore power we found burn spots and one of the prongs on the ship side was not functioning. Luckily Tom got a ride and he replace the old with a new one and by 10 AM we were clearing the harbor. The sun was shinning but the temperatures were still in the 40's . Wind was in the right place and Tom had the sails up and we were quickly doing 5 to 6 knots. It was great to have the quite. By evening the wind switched and the waves were getting choppier but we needed to make Dauphin Island. We dropped anchor in the dark, pitching, and rolling and moving more than what we were use to. I tried to stay up in the V berth and to my surprise and discomfort got sick.
This morning we woke to deep fog and blessed the decision to buy the AIS. We did pass two tugs pushing barges, the only way they saw us and we saw them was on our chart plotter. We had about 700' visibility at max until we got to the GICW "ditch finally.... sun and really quite comfortable temperatures.
Tonight dinner at Lulu's and in general drying out the boat.
new electrical plug in
This is how much we moved during the night

Finally, we are sailing
