I talked Tom in to very round about way to go home - we drove all the way down to the Norfolk area and crossed the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. These pictures were taken from the moving car - but they came out pretty good.
I was in this area in October of 2011 and also took this drive. Very beautiful! Went to Fishermans Island for some great pics and walks. Only bad thing I noticed was the terrific amount of dead birds on the bridge. Hate to see that. I loved this area but the traffic was horrific! I watch the Bald Eagle cam located in the Norfolk Botanical garden and was there in October for the unveiling of a memorial for the resident mother eagle who was killed in an airline collision last April. The Park is beautiful and I hope to get there again. I am enjoying your pics and tours.
